
400 g stale bread | |
1 l milk | |
1 egg | |
100 g pine nuts | |
130 g honey | |
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon | |
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger | |
3 cardamom pods | |
1 clove | |
a little of nutmeg |
1. | First cut the bread in pieces and pour over it the milk. Let it rest until soft. |
2. | Ground the cloves and the seeds in the cardamom pods and set apart for a while. Drain a little the bread and put it in a bowl, add the honey, the eggs, the spices and mix well. |
3. | Now add the pine nuts and stir. Pour the batter into the greased and floured pan and level it with a spoon. if you like it, sprinkle on the top two tablespoons of sugar cane. Bake at 180°C for about 35-40 minutes. |
