A spiced and aromatic seasoning, to make salads and expecially wontons unforgettable!
100 ml light or tamari soy sauce | |
200 ml water | |
1/2 cinnamon stick | |
1/2 tsp fennel seeds | |
1/2 star anise | |
1/2 tsp Sichuan pepper | |
10 g piece of ginger, crushed slightly | |
3 tbsp brown sugar |
1. | Put the soy sauce into a saucepan with 200 ml water and bring to boil. Add the spices and ginger, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. |
2. | Add the sugar and stir to dissolve: you should end up with about 100 ml of liquid. |
