I started with the idea of making an apple pie, but then I saw these cookies from Mary and I changed the program definitely.
Much better than they may seem, at a first distracted look. They are spectacular, as someone told me after tasting them! And it’s true …
Apple and walnuts cookies
Original recipe here
Ingredients for about 20 pieces
- 1 egg
- 50 g sugar cane
- 50 g sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 80 g sunflower seed oil
- 50 g walnuts, chopped
- 250 g all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 apple
- sugar to decorate
Put egg, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a bowl and mix with a hand whisk. Add the oil, the walnuts and finally the flour sifted with the yeast. Switch to work with your hands when the dough becomes more full-bodied. Add the peeled and diced apple now. Moisten your hands and make a lot of balls, about as big as a walnut, dip a part in the granulated sugar and lay them down on the baking sheet covered with baking paper, crushing them slightly. Bake in hot oven at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving. Keep tightly closed in a tin box and consume within a couple of days.
